How much does it cost?
I wouldn’t know until we’ve had at least one conversation. My fees have ranged from $200 US/month to $9000 US/3 months. My coaching and fees are a bespoke agreement exactly customized to each client and my pricing structure for ongoing coaching is not set in stone. If we’re a good fit, I work with each individual to find the optimum way to receive the coaching services I offer.
Think of it this way. If you asked someone to help you build your dream home, would you expect them to know exactly how much it would cost without having at least ONE conversation about what you wanted that dream home to look like?
What is life coaching? (the technical explanation)
The International Coaching Federation definition:
“ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today’s uncertain and complex environment. Coaches honor the client as the expert in his or her life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:
- Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
- Encourage client self-discovery
- Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
- Hold the client responsible and accountable
This process helps clients dramatically improve their outlook on work and life, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.”
Sometimes a client gets a better picture of what coaching is by understanding what coaching is NOT.
Coaching is NOT:
Therapy/Counseling/Psychological services
Therapy is a process usually used to diagnose and/or treat an underlying medical mental health condition. The process usually involves delving deeply into the patient’s past in order to improve mental/emotional stability in the present. By contrast, coaching focuses primarily on a client’s IDEAL future. Coaching assumes clients mental/emotional stability is already present, and uses the here-and-now as a starting point to springboard into that future in the most efficient way possible. In other words; therapy and other psychological services move a patient from dysfunctional to functional and coaching moves clients from functional to IDEAL.
Clients can and do use both therapy and coaching together to achieve fantastic results. (*the therapist and coach should be informed of concurrent services if that is the case)
CONSULTING
Consulting is process of identifying obstacles and solution based on a consultant’s expertise on a subject. A consultant uses expertise on a subject to ADVISE. Coaching assumes a client’s resourcefulness and uses the client’s expertise on a subject to uncover perceived limitations, obstacles and solutions.
MENTORING
Mentoring is like consulting as a mentor uses their own expertise to guide an individual. A mentor may use a consulting and/or coaching process to guide but the coaching process is itself, separate. Coaching, again, involves using the client’s own expertise, resourcefulness, strengths and values to create an ideal outcome.
Why would I need a life coach?
THIS question is one that only YOU have an answer to.
Here are some reasons people have hired me:
- Lack of clarity on an important decision (like a career or job change)
- Unclear or obscured goals and objectives (STALE BUCKET LISTS!!!)
- Desire for accelerated progress (Spinning too many plates, juggling too many balls, wanting to move forward when it feels like you might never get what you really want out of life.)
- Feeling Stuck! (Like you’re in quicksand and the more you move the deeper you get.)
- Feeling like the proverbial hamster (in a wheel) (No more metaphor needed...you know this feeling.)

How does a session work?
I will call you at the number you provide at the time you’ve scheduled. I will make sure that you understand what coaching is and isn’t.
Then the session is focused on YOU. We will have a conversation to find out what is most important to you right now. I will support and encourage you to move beyond any perceived limitations in order to help you achieve your goals, dreams and desires.
What if I miss a scheduled session?
Like you, I believe my time is valuable. At the same time I know things can happen. I simply ask that you give at least 24 hours notice if you are going to miss a scheduled appointment.
Do you offer discounts or special pricing?
Sort of...My coaching and fees are a bespoke agreement exactly customized to each client. And if you’re reading the answer to this FAQ, then money and your relationship with it may be something to coach about. My pricing structure for ongoing coaching is not set in stone. I work with each individual to find the optimum way to receive the coaching services I offer.
